End-User License Agreement

The license supplied with this Freehold CMS package.

# Freehold CMS Free Edition End User License Agreement

This EULA covers only the Freehold CMS Core, Blog module, Navigation module, Help Center module, Search Submission module, and FreeholdCMS Classic theme distributed together as the “Free Edition.” It does not grant rights to commercial modules.

## License grant

Jeffery L. Paris, creator of Freehold CMS, grants you a no-charge, non-exclusive license to install, run, and modify the Free Edition for websites that you own or administer, including client websites you build or maintain.

## Restrictions

You may not sell, sublicense, publish, mirror, share, or redistribute the Free Edition, its source code, a modified version, or a substantially derived package as a standalone product or competing CMS/module offering. You may not remove or obscure copyright, authorship, license, or attribution notices. FreeholdCMS.com remains the authorized source for copies and licenses.

Commercial modules require a separate valid license for each production website unless the purchase record expressly allows more. Licenses are available at https://freeholdcms.com.

## Ownership

The software is licensed, not sold. No ownership, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights are transferred. Your independently created content and data remain yours.

## Your responsibilities

You are responsible for hosting, configuration, backups, content, privacy disclosures, accessibility, security, and compliance with applicable law and third-party service terms.

## No warranty

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the software is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement.

## Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jeffery L. Paris and Freehold CMS will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or replacement costs. Where liability cannot be excluded, aggregate liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected software.

## Termination

This license terminates automatically if you materially breach it and do not cure the breach after notice where cure is possible. On termination, stop using and delete unauthorized copies. Ownership, restrictions, disclaimers, and liability limitations survive termination.

## Entire agreement and severability

This EULA and any written purchase terms are the complete license agreement for the covered software. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A waiver must be in writing and applies only to the stated instance.
